Being and Living Responsibility
Being responsible is very key in today’s generation. We have had enough of manna and it is time to start getting responsible.
As Christians, we all pray to enter the land flowing with milk and honey. In any land, milk is produced by milking a cow or one buys it off the shelf or in open markets. If your cow dies, your production of milk ceases. Therefore, you have to ensure that the cow is eating good grass and well nourished to produce nutritious milk. To get honey, you have to get bees. Bees can sting if you do not handle them well.
Being and Living Responsibility
Our understanding of life colors our perceptions and goes a long way in affecting what we see as vital or trivial. This book is written to take the work out of trying to decipher what life is about, what roles are expected of us, and how to deal with important issues we may face while living as humans here on earth. It is meant to act as a springboard from which you can run and hopefully make your journey easier. It is a book with 28 Nuggets of wisdom about life.
Power to begin with, is simply the ability, strength and capacity to do, control or influence something, people or their actions. Power, in the strict sense of this discourse, is the dynamic ability to cause changes, perform tasks, utilize opportunities, and handle challenges. It is also the faculty to create. Man is a being in who have been invested, different kinds of powers. To say then that man is a powerful being would be correct –especially if one takes into consideration the fact that at creation, Man was made the Governor of the whole earth.
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat” (Gen.1:28 – 29)
Humans are builders by nature. God has designed and equipped every human with an innate desire to create structures in life. We each build one way or the other – whether actively or passively. Each day we grow, develop, and increase in our endeavors. Young or old, we all are builders.
Unfortunately, we live in a time and generation solely preoccupied with the present. We live among a people who are only concerned about today – instant gratification, right now. Therefore, in building at this time, this timeless truth is mostly ignored: that the foundation, process, and materials used in building will determine whether or not a building will still be standing when tomorrow comes.
This books takes us through the pillars of building rightly.
Talking about sex is so important. Isn’t it amazing that an activity responsible for the creation of every human, and practiced the world over is spoken of mutedly and in quiet tones? Yet people talk about it on a daily basis.
This act serves as the foundation for some of the horrible vices practiced by various individuals and inherent in the world today. Put on Your Pants undresses sex.
My thoughts in the book are broken down in this pattern;
1. Why Talk About Sex
2. Sex and the Society
3. Gender Roles and Sex
4. Facts about Sex
5. Sexual Orientations and Identities
6. Sex Lies
7. Why Put on Your Pants
8. Ways to Keep Your Pants On
9. Urgent Realities for Christians
